The truth is, when I started, I was carrying $50,000 in debt, living part-time out of a rooftop tent (pictured above) and working a $30/hour job at a small RV shop just to stay afloat. After graduating from the NRVTA, my choices were: settle for low-paying work or take the risk to build something real.

I chose freedom.

It wasn’t easy. I made many mistakes. There is a lot to manage as a solo technician: diagnosing, repairing and ordering parts, taking care of admin work, all the while trying to generate new customers at the same time. Not to mention, doing this without a traditional roof over my head.

With time, I refined my marketing system, worked on my business, and eventually found the winning combination.
